Important Message About COVID-19 (January 19, 2022)

We continue to closely monitor the situation related to COVID-19 by following and continually adapting to the recommended guidelines outlined by local, state, and national public health agencies.

In response to the changing dynamics of the coronavirus pandemic transmission across the United States, and to support Chicago’s efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, the City is issuing a Travel Advisory applicable to anyone coming into the City of Chicago from designated states with a significant degree of community-wide spread of COVID-19.

As of 1/19/2022, Chicago’s Travel Advisory for U.S. travelers: You can view the specific Travel Advisory here. Informational: This Travel Advisory applies to returning Chicago residents and out-of-state visitors arriving in Chicago.

As a reminder, Chicago is in Phase 5 and, effective August 20, 2021, while capacity limits and social distancing requirements at most businesses have been lifted, masks are required in all indoor public settings, regardless of vaccination status. Effective January 3, 2022, any individual 5 years of age or older will be required to show proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to dine indoors, visit gyms, or enjoy entertainment venues where food or drink are being served.
