Transportation and Directions

Inter/Micro will be held at McCrone Research Institute located at 2820 S. Michigan Avenue (28th and Michigan) in Chicago. McCrone is a one-story, black, brick building set back from Michigan Avenue with a driveway and free parking lot (adjacent to Roger’s Auto Group) that can only be accessed from the south bound lane of Michigan avenue.

There will be no complimentary transportation to and from Club Quarters or other downtown hotels.

Ample free parking is available in McCrone’s parking lot, which is open 24 hours and is accessible only from the southbound lane of Michigan Avenue.

If you are driving
• From expressways I-90/94, you can exit at 31st Street and go east towards Michigan Avenue.
• From Lake Shore Drive you can exit at 31st Street and go west toward Michigan Avenue.

From either of these two directions proceed north three blocks to 28th Street. You can U-turn to head south in front of Roger’s Auto Group, a half block north of 28th Street. Our building is a one-story brick building set back from Michigan Avenue with a driveway and free parking lot.

Parking is free in our lot. Parking elsewhere, especially in downtown Chicago, can be very expensive.

If you are arriving at O’Hare or Midway airport
O’Hare Airport (ORD) and Midway Airport (MDW) connect Chicago with most cities. Taxi cab fare from O’Hare to downtown Chicago is approximately $50, and the fare from Midway to downtown Chicago is approximately $35.

Public transportation
Buses stop in front of our parking lot driveway on Michigan Avenue. Buses and trains are operated by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA).
