Inter/Micro — International Microscopy Conference

ANNOUNCEMENT: The 2021 INTER/MICRO Conference Has Been Canceled

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the state of Illinois has placed an order in effect until early July, 2021 limiting gatherings to no more than 50 people. While this order could be modified before it expires, McCrone Research Institute in Chicago has determined that their ability to open for larger events is currently prohibited by the state regulation and they do not anticipate changes prior to July that would allow any event to occur in June. Therefore, we regret to announce the cancellation of the 2021 INTER/MICRO Conference due to these limitations and unavailability of a suitable facility.

While we can’t meet this year, McCrone Research Institute is here for you now, and we are planning an extraordinary 2022 event. We are committed to supporting the microscopy community through this time of restructuring and facing new challenges. We’re increasing the number of free digital resources. We’re making it easier to find the courses, publications, instructional videos, and pre-recorded online learning sessions that you need to reimagine your microscopy education right now and prepare for what’s ahead. We are busy preparing a new line-up of educational products and services. And we are, above all, here for you. Join us in overcoming obstacles, preparing for the better days ahead, and looking forward to the next Inter/Micro which will take place June 13-17, 2022.

Inter/Micro is an internationally recognized conference that attracts professional and amateur microscopists from all areas of light and electron microscopy. Research presentations include topics covering techniques and instrumentation, environmental and industrial microscopy, and forensic and chemical microscopy.
